No context or attribution (except for the last one). Just good, clean, quotey fun.
"We're like bi-polar opposites"
"You don't wanna be a wannabe"
"I'm getting kind of new-agey in my old age"
"I'm not an alpha male...I'm in beta."
"All cats smell like freakin' broccoli!"
Heard while kids played video games...
"David, get that guy that's on my tail."
"You have a tail?"

Enjoy reading your blog. After so many years.. it's good to know you are still pursuing your dream.
Keep writing. I will be looking for that novel.
P.S. I turned 40 this week and some old pictures sent me in search of memories. I'm pretty sure I found one!
Thanks Penny. Are you the Penny I remember from Bishop's? Or am I way off?
Yes - the same Penny - just 23 years older. :-)
Penny,
Hopefully you're continuing to check out my blog. it my get interesting from here on out...

I do check back now and then. (And have been searching for your name in publication for years!) My husband would consider this another symptom of my "mid-life" crisis -- Seeking out past... acquaintances. I would say it's just mere curiosity.
I get the curiosity thing. I think it's kind of fun to find out what people I know from college, old jobs, etc. are up to. My 25-year high school reunion was about a month ago. I didn't go, but my freind Jennifer did and said it was amazing how little many people had changed. Let's put it this way... the website for the reunion had many pictures of 43 year olds with big, goofy grins holding up half-empty bottles of beer.
As for getting published, that may be coming soon. I've recently started marketing my writing. Be advised that one story I'm shopping around is this, um... "adult" vampire story. Might not be one to show the kiddies and say, "look, my old freind got published!"
Speaking of pictures... You will find one of me and my kids on classmates.com for highschool. It was taken summer of 2007 - I've since started working out, lost 15 lbs... (another part of my mid-life crisis) ha!
It's great to chat with you. Would like to catch up some time.

P.S. I've been working for GE Healthcare for 11 years as an engineer. Still singing... my avocation.
